Re: Re-releases

The problem with DOSBox is, it's way over my head. I spent 2 days trying to use it for older games, only to stop myself from throwing my computer out the window at the last second. All of that techno-babble is like Aramaic to me.

Re-releases

Has anybody heard/read anything about possible re-releases of the GK series, or any other Sierra adventure series (KQ, PQ, etc.) for Vista64 or Windows 7?

Re: Windows Vista

Problem solved. I turned off compatibility mode and now it runs fine. As to the original problem of the invalid Win32 problem, I copied the .exe from the CD and pasted it over the one that installed. Thanx, Collector, for all your help. You da man.

Re: Windows Vista

Ok, new problem. I got all the files properly copied and the game starts up, but then I get a new message saying "The following resource paths are invalid: ." (period). What does this mean?

Re: Windows Vista

Yes. As far as I can tell, I've done everything properly. Maybe I should do the same with discs 2 and 3?

Re: Windows Vista

Didn't work. I guess...I guess playing this game anymore is over and done with. It has to be a compatibility issue with Vista 64. The only way I'll ever play it again is to get an older PC with an older version on Windows. Thanx, Collector, for your help, nonetheless.

Re: Windows Vista

GK3 runs fine on my Vista64. Have you tried to run it, yet? If you are having issues with it, take a look at the Gabriel Knight 3 help page . If you still have issues, just ask here again and let us know what problems you are having and what you have tried. I get an error message saying: "GK3....
