Boy, do I feel silly. It just hit me. I replayed the entire game, just to realize that the scale is on the desk top after the snake attack.

This is my first true Seirra gaming experence. I've played Lucas Arts and Revolutionary studios and a bunch of other games. I forgot what it means to play a Sierra Adventure game.
