Re: Happy (and Safe!) New Years to everyone!

Happy New Year to all, and good riddance to 2016.

May 2017 bring us many good fortunes, especially for Hero-U and Spaceventure. :)

Re: Hero-U

Hero-U seems to be plagued by management and budget issues much more than Spaceventure has been. Spaceventure has had their issues and stalls, but Hero-U feels like it's never found its footing. They went through a couple major design changes in the first year, and they've had more trouble with fun...

Re: Hero-U

It doesn't sound very good at all. They're out of money from the 2nd kickstarter and in need of 1-2 programmers. Yeah. The Cole's Hero-U project seems to be taking as many hits as the Space Venture one is... Despite that, as long as I am alive, I will (try and) remain patient. These aren't folks wh...

Re: Hero-U

Update State of The Game We’re making great progress. Adam immediately started to bring new tools to our development process, such as ways of showing the interaction points for all of the objects in a scene. This is a great way to make sure that every object has a waypoint and that they’re in the r...

Re: SIERRA Games on GoG.com -

Sierra is listed as the developer for the LSL games, but Codemasters is the current owner and publisher of those games. Since the LSL games showed up on GOG about 3.5 years ago it's been this way - the "Sierra" (Activision) promos don't feature the LSL games because it's a different publis...

Re: SIERRA Games on GoG.com -

It's nice to see a good number of the Sierra bundles make it on the Top 25 sales chart this weekend: 16. QFG 1-5 20. SQ 4-6 21. SQ 1-3 23. KQ 4-6 25. PQ 1-4 No LSL? The LSL games are all owned/published by Codemasters since ~2009, except for LSL Reloaded (Replay Games). Codemasters typically does t...

Re: Hero-U

Kickstarter update

There are some new screens and a video of "knife-throwing practice."

We're on schedule for completion late this year, but I'm not sure if "completion" will mean release or final beta. I'll know more by September.

Re: Hero-U

So, they knew going on that it wasn't enough. Yea, which isn't a huge deal if they had plans for how to supplement the remaining budget or had already spoken to potential investors before the campaign (like many kickstarters have done). But if they were just going to wing it, that's not a responsib...

Re: Hero-U

I trust that $400,000 was appropriate and sufficient for their original idea (2D, top-down, tile-based game using the Brawsome engine), although Corey said last year that the planned budget for that game was actually $650,000. We budgeted $650K for the project (which would have been at least an $800...

Re: Hero-U

The entire problem with the Hero-U kickstarter was that they changed their concept during the funding drive. What was a $400,000 campaign for a top-down, 2D tile-based game using an existing engine turned into a 3D game with an isometric perspective that would clearly need much more money and resour...

Re: Best GK Puzzle/Greatest Moment?

I have to split my answers up for each game. :p GK1 - my favorite puzzle is probably writing the message on the tomb. I love the narrator's line about how Gabriel tosses the brick down and looks at the message with satisfaction, as that's how the player feels when finally figuring it out. You need t...

Either way... I'm lost and nobody else seems to be guessing... Hint?
I'd give a hint but I don't know where to send it... ;)
