Re: New Acquisitions Thread (image heavy)

@Hedegaard: Absolutely agree. And that is the reason, why I am trying to have always 2 copies of a game. One well pre-served open one, and one shrinkwrapped. :-) The latter one mainly wrt a possible sale in the future. There are "psychotics" out there, who even care for simple 3rd party Ma...

Re: New Acquisitions Thread (image heavy)

Here you can read a little bit about that topic: http://www.vintage-sierra.net/slash.php To make it short: If your game is shrinkwrapped in that folded manner, then you can be pretty confident, that it is originally sealed. I don't know though, for how long they were using that folding mechanism. I ...

Re: That rare KQIV version

There are currently the 1.000.111 SCI Version and the AGI Version (unclear, if 2.0, 2.2 or both) for Sale on Ebay: http://www.ebay.de/itm/271270843777 http://www.ebay.de/itm/271270844679 The AGI Version comes in a SCI-Version Box, has a 5,25" disk set with AGI 2.2 printed on the labels, and a 3...

Re: That rare KQIV version

It might have been this page, that you once saw: http://queststudios.com/smf/index.php?topic=2802.0 It is stated there, that they changed the Pics to cram the content on 8 instead of 9 5,25" disks. Finding them is still possible on EBay. Most sellers don't mention the version, but normally at l...

Re: Precinct - Jim Walls Kickstarter!

My 2 Cents...: I proposed that 130 US$ tier because I thought it would be fun to have Jim Walls as a voice message on my answering machine. And because I had a small amount of hope, that the final product would be some sort of fun. BUT... regarding the information on the game (I didn't really follow...

Re: King's Quest V Versions

I really would love to help. But unfortunately the .54 version falls into the "saw" category (on mobygames), and the .51 consists for whatever reasons of 9 5,25" Disks and 1 3,5" Disk. And I do not have a 5,25" drive. For whatever reason this Disk mix seems to have been norm...

King's Quest V Versions

Hello! I recently wondered about all the different King's Quest V Versions that I saw/own. There are at least 0.000.051 0.000.054 0.000.055 0.000.062 Does anybody know, if there are differences in these Versions VISIBLE to the player in any sense? Or was this "just" bugfixing? I Was search...

Yes, yes, it exists, I'm sure. I've seen the box once, not so long ago even!
@Rudy: Are you refering to the PQ 1 and/or QfG 1 Remake? Did you see them?
Or are you talking about the LSL1 Remake?

Best wishes,

Re: Sierra Remakes

On a slightly related topic: I know that Sierra released at least the Remakes of Space Quest, Kings Quest and Leisure Suit Larry early on in the "old" boxes, and simply putting a sticker on it (like 256 colour version, different HW requirements, enhanced graphics etc.). Is it known, if the...
