Re: Family life frozen in time
Saw those a few months ago, not a fan. The guy has some better ones over at 500px.

Re: Gabriel Knight 1 Remake (MGX)
I'm with you on that, I always liked GK3's visuals as well. My problems with the game are the controls which, while interesting, are just too complicated. I'm not sure if there were any other fully 3D graphic adventures back then (or even that many since), so the closest competition would probably b...

Re: Gabriel Knight 1 Remake (MGX)
What's the issue with Tim Curry returning anyway? Too expensive or is he not available because of his recent health issues?

Re: Gabriel Knight 1 Remake (MGX)
I truly meant hack. He should not be touching other peoples work when he clearly does not understand them. Uhoh, bitter Trekker. I wasn't serious about auteur but I think he's very competent and looking at previous entries in the MI series, maybe it's a good thing he didn't understand what came bef...

Re: MGX
Usually, yes, but not always. Think of The Man Who Knew Too Much . The first one was highly flawed. The remake is fantastic. But then, Hitchcock did the remake, too. This remake is not being done by a hack as bad as an auteur like JJ Abrams. FYT. Also, thanks for the clarification on MGX. I like re...

Re: MGX
Doesn't blow me away. Like with Larry, I kinda doubt they'd secure the IP from Activision only to make a remake though.
Btw, I just created my own thread for the remake before deleting it again after finding this. I don't know what MGX stands for but as a thread title, it's not super-helpful![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

Re: Videogame music
Can't believe I forgot to mention this earlier, the Illsmouth theme from Shadow of the Comet is amazing:

Re: Videogame music
Very nice, reminds me that I still need to play Crusader.
This from System Shock 2 (Eric Brosius) is another favorite: The one in the opening post was from Ultima 6, if that is still unclear (seems like I can't go back and edit).

Re: What are you playing now?
Oh, absolutely. The problem with Obsidian has always been that they have to feed off other people's crumbs when it comes to their projects. They only got do do Kotor2 because BioWare though Lucasarts' 14 month schedule was insane and I'm assuming the stories behind Neverwinter 2, Fallout New Vegas a...

Re: What are you playing now?
Of course! I actually liked it much better than the original, despite all the bugs.

Hope this hasn't been done before on the forums.
I would love to hear your favorites. Post an entire list or just specific tracks, anything goes.
I really love this:

Re: What are you playing now?
Finished Dungeon Siege 3. I think these days Obsidian, Irrational, Telltale and maybe Valve are the only studios that could get me to try a game that I have little interest in. This is better than the (admittedly lame) original games in pretty much every regard, really enjoyed it.
