Norton Internet Security Warning

Just a quick note to let you know that my Norton Internet Security keeps trying to block this site because of two alleged trojans (in the KQ and LSL Collection Series installers). Norton tends not to trust anything new, and I'm not sure you can do anything about this -- but I just wanted to let you ...

Re: New Acquisitions Thread (image heavy)

[quote="piesel"]Some pictures from my collection: http://i50.tinypic.com/7104ef.jpg I was just going back through some of these posts, and saw your Return to Krondor game, with a map of the game world. When I purchased the game, no map came with it, and am wondering if anyone else has ever...

Re: Jane Jensen opens herself to the public

I certainly don't see any confirmation that Mystery Gamer X is a Gabriel Knight game, but there are a few hints. She began her kickstarter campaign saying that the new game(s) would not be GK; she obviously didn't have the rights yet. But she also indicated that she was hopeful one could be made in ...

Re: Jane Jensen opens herself to the public

For those of you who haven't heard yet, Jane Jensen announced yesterday that her kickstarter campaign will now include two games, including a mystery game that she says fans will be happy to hear about (hints of a new GK game). Even if it is not a new GK game, two Jane Jensen games in a year sounds ...

New Double Fine Adventure via Kickstarter

For those of you who fondly remember the old Lucas Arts games, Tim Schafer (and Ron Gilbert) are going the kickstarter route to raise funds to create a new adventure game. The link to the kickstarter campaign is http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/66710809/double-fine-adventure, and they have alread...

Re: Shivers Windows XP Mode Installer

XP Mode for Shivers is only required for those with x64. I do not have a machine with Win7 x86, but reportedly, Shivers 1 runs without issue on Win7 x86. Yes you can use the installer. The main advantage over the original installer is that it installs the entire game to the hard drive for CD-less p...

Re: Shivers Windows XP Mode Installer

Collector: Will the Shivers installer by itself work on a 32 bit XP/Vista machine (since I do not have XP mode on my Windows 7 computer)? And, as always, thank you for all of your excellent work!

Re: Playing Windows 98/2000/XP games in Windows 7

It sounds like you have the CD version (I think my version came from the Adventure Pack as well), but just to make sure, the MONSTER.SOU file should be 262,662 KB in size. If you have the correct file size, then it sounds like it might be a scummvm issue. If you haven't already, you could also check...

Re: Playing Windows 98/2000/XP games in Windows 7

Make sure you have the MONSTER.SOU file in your directory. The only other two necessary files are the TENTACLE.000 and TENTACLE.001 files. Listings of the necessary files can be found in the scummvm.org website, under the documentation link.

Done, and it works this time as long as I run the shortcut as an administrator. Thank you. As always, your work is very much appreciated.

Re: Any 3-D Ultra fans?

Here is the applicable entries in the sierra configuration file: [UPBALL2] InstallPath=C:\Dynamix\3DULTR~1 CDPath=C:\Dynamix\3DULTR~1\UPBALL2 If I had to guess just from looking at this, I would say that the "1" should be a "2". But I tried to edit this after reading your message...

Re: Any 3-D Ultra fans?

I got a chance to track down my Creep Night disc and install it with the new installer. The shortcut created by the installer in not functional (asks for CD -- even if inserted, it does not recognize it), but when I used the "exe" file found in the UPBALL2 folder, everything seemed to play...
