I just thought it was odd. If they wanted Graham to be so tanned, why was he "white" in the games? It's likely due to the limited color palette. In fact, I'd say Graham looked like he was suffering from jaundice in KQ1 and KQ2. I mean the land was suffering at the start of King's Quest 1,...
