Re: Colossal Cave (was Ken & Roberta Game Announcement)

Honestly, the three paragraph justification for the unreasonable price is a little unnecessary. He should have just said that they realized they launched at the wrong price point and left it at that.

Re: Summer Games Done Quick 2022 - KQ5

The point-and-click speedrunning scene is pretty big actually. There have been a lot of notable runs of Sierra games over the past 2-3 years for sure.

Re: What are you playing now?

Splitting my time right now between Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Final Fantasy 1 on mobile, and both the original and remake of Demon’s Souls to try to finish off the platinums.

Re: What are you playing now?

On the other hand, DD also allows you (by editing the text files that control your party members' stats) to give your party members a fighting chance. I haven't tried it, but I've seen videos on YouTube of people doing it. Is that cheating? *curious* What do you think? Yeah that’s definitely cheati...

Re: What are you playing now?

Souls games are difficult for sure, but they’re designed in a way that makes them fair at the very least. Either way, Elden Ring is definitely the most approachable Souls game there’s been.

Re: Humble Bundle - LSL games!

I'm surprised. I thought WDDD and WDDT, on their own, were retailing for much (MUCH) more than $13. (I've tried playing both (when they were on special), and they are both ... well ... more explicit and less subtle than LSL. Ahem). I'm also dubious because this bundle also includes LSL MCL, which (...

Re: The D&D Corner (and other Pen & Paper - or virtual - RPGs!) <3

Hey everyone! If anyone is interested, Chaosium (the publisher of Call of Cthulhu, Runequest, and more) is going to be doing an actual play charity livestream of Call of Cthulhu tomorrow at 9pm ET for ZERO Cancer (zerocancer.org) on their Twitch page (twitch.tv/chaosiuminc)! Re: The D&D Corner (and other Pen & Paper - or virtual - RPGs!) <3

We're playing over Discord because we're scattered across the country haha.

I've played a little of Darkest Dungeon but not a ton. I did like it a lot though.

Re: The D&D Corner

Right now, I'm playing with three friends in a 1920s New England setting. One character is a bounty hunter, one is a librarian, and the third is a dentist. The campaign has only been going on for a few weeks now, so they haven't done a ton haha. The characters were brought together when a mutual acq...

Re: The D&D Corner

It's 1920s, so the classic setting. They're based out of New England, but one of the PCs is from New Orleans, so they're taking a trip there for the next session.
