Re: The Sierra Help Pages on its own domain!
Jafa, is that in relation to the Sierra Gateway idea? Or is it something different?

Re: The Sierra Help Pages on its own domain!
I suppose I will be upgrading to 3.
I use the CH (Categories Hierarchy) mod. (Unless that has been implemented into the vanilla phpbb version 3 now?)

Re: The Sierra Help Pages on its own domain!
This is extremely exciting. What I would like to propose is that the Sierra Help forum is the default forum for all and any game technical issues. That means that, in the GK4campaign forums, for instance, where I set up the sub-forum "Technical Problems/Help", it leads the user straight to...

Re: Sierra classics forums shutting down.
I have checked my PM - and thank you so much, Collector. I need to go through my games and sort out what is what. I could do it now, but I have two websites I'm working on for clients and they've been very patient while I was ill, so... I'd better get those done first... Feeling tired a lot of the t...

Re: Sierra classics forums shutting down.
I'm not sure using Fantastico is the best way to go about it, though. Fantastico often does not use the latest versions, and it uses default decisions that aren't always suitable.

Re: For Al...
As a cloud of superlatives fall gently from heaven with feather-light gold dust on their tips, the voice of a distant crowd chants the name:
"Collector! Collector!"
"Collector! Collector!"

Mother Goose... Freddy Pharkas (isn't it?), Gold Mine (I'm sure it is!), the Conquest games...
Neither of the Phantasmagoria, sadly.
Collector, I don't know how you have the time to do what you do, but it's very, very much appreciated.

Good... I mean about your revisiting it, not about the vodka-approach.

Re: Thoughts on classic Sierra games
Torin's Passage - agreed - beyond question. Jules is also amazingly correct when she says "PLAY THE OTHER TWO CHARACTERS". <dangles a large watch in front of Nameless> You are becoming somnolent... your senses are dimming... you can hear me but your ability to resist is gone... Now listen ...

Re: Thoughts on classic Sierra games
You definitely must play GK2, Nameless - and then GK3.
I wish I could help with your bugged game problem, but you're too far away and I'm not Inspector Gadget. <sigh>

Re: Thoughts on classic Sierra games
Nameless, clearly you missed a LOT in the game.
To find out what you didn't do, and to discover the puns you didn't find in the game, read my walkthrough.
