Re: phantasmagoria/phantasmagoria 2 installer confusion
Long time no post for me (resident Phantasmagoria 2 nerd), but I've just begun recently working on an updated copy of my installer. The newer version will allow for a hard drive installation and disc-less play. It's still based on the more reliable DOS release of the game, so it will still utilize D...

Re: Phantasmagoria A puzzle of flesh, Voice Remove on Vidéo DUK
Hello lucky78, Most of the music in Phantasmagoria 2 are simple Microsoft .wav audio files. In return, most of the .DUK videos do not contain music (only voices), although a few do (the introduction, end of chapter movies, the mental boss-battle near the end of the game, and the ending credits). You...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Not sure if this has been covered yet or not, but what really annoys me is Microsoft's poorly conceived NTVDM , which is the DOS emulator included in modern versions of Windows (2000/XP and up) which are not based off the MS-DOS architecture. It has downright awful support for anything the user is t...

Re: Mass Effect
Mass Effect is probably the best mixed-genre game I've played in a long time (action, roleplaying, and shooter). I just finished the main quest a few weeks ago, but judging from all the planets I have yet to explore, I expect to have a lot more to do!

Re: XBOX 360? Anyone on XBL?
The Dreamcast was a short-lived, but amazing console; it had a lot of potential.
Anyway, my gamertag is "HarroSlN" (with a lowercase "L" because 'HarroSIN' was already reserved for my XBOX 1 gamertag). I haven't been online with any consoles in a while, though.

Re: What are you playing now?
Currently, I'm not playing any Sierra titles (unless you count Half-Life, which they published -- I'm playing through that again in anticipation for the sequel's next episode). For modern games, I just finished Silent Hill: Homecoming on the XBOX 360; I was planning on giving it another run to get t...

Re: Damaged Disks or CDs?
Well, I just downloaded this to test it out, and I have to say it really did a good job recovering some of the images I accidentally deleted from the cell phone's camera. If I do ever need to recover something crucial, this looks like the application to do it.

Re: 3.5" USB Drives.
Yeah, it's built in. The only place I can keep it where the cord will reach is if I place it on top of the PC itself.

Re: Formal plug for Sierra's Resource Files
I have setup a temporary page for all the unused material in Phantasmagoria 1, which you can find here: http://www.moccio.net/_other/phantasmagoria/phant1/ The original document had nicer formatting (tables and colors), but it was pretty inefficient in terms of HTML code, so I whipped this up in Not...

Re: Formal plug for Sierra's Resource Files
I created an entire document a few months ago with information about unused material both Phantasmagoria games, including unused rendered scenes and missing items, and developer jokes. I have it hosted elsewhere at the moment, but I'm in the process of cleaning up the page to put it up on my site. I...

Re: 3.5" USB Drives.
I just bought one from RadioShack for $15. It works very well. It's actually recognized as the A: drive in Windows, and shows up in my BIOS and boot manager as a floppy drive, and not a generic USB device. The only problem is that the USB cord is really short, maybe a nine inches.

Re: Your Favorite Moment?
Phantasmagoria 1: Probably the ending chase. The best scenes in the whole game are during the seventh disc when Don goes all out. A Puzzle of Flesh: I like both the mental hospital scene as well on day three, but also the ending puzzle 'mental test' when the Hecatomb zaps Curtis and puts him in all...
