Is it just me, or are some of the screens different now? Like with the gingerbread house...
The "no dead ends" mode is a good idea, especially for new KQ1 players or people playing KQ1 for the first time in a while.

Re: Cliches in Games
Towns or cities with more than about 100 people don't exist (except in a game like SimCity). In fact, the whole world has a very low population of non-evil creatures.

Yeah, maybe the server uses Windows. I'm on Linux (my computer has Windows and Linux on it).

Re: This board has no Unicode support!
It should still support the characters. What if someone's typing a mathematical formula and needs the pi symbol, or wants arrows or other Unicode symbols? Or is simply mentioning the name of (say) a Czech person, and wants to be able to spell it correctly?

This board has no Unicode support!
When I tried to update my sig, I got an SQL error because one of the songs is in Bulgarian and uses the Cyrillic alphabet. I had to transliterate it into Latin letters. It isn't the Cold War anymore. Any Internet application should be able to support all characters in Unicode, not just for the Germa...

Re: Most overrated and underrated games
I don't really like most modern games. Probably 95% or more of the games I like were from before 1996 (or remakes of pre-1996 games). At one time, there was often a big difference between RPGs released for personal computers and RPGs released for videogame consoles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cult...

Um...you do know that CRPG can be either "console role-playing game" or "computer role-playing game", or possibly both, right?Rath Darkblade wrote:Maybe it's because it was the first CRPG I've played, but I have a soft spot for Neverwinter Nights.

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Why do people think that a lot of small pages is better for dialup? I had nothing but dialup until August 2005, and 5 small pages take like 100 times longer to load than one large page, not just 5 times longer, at least in my experience...

Re: Most overrated and underrated games
Ooh, I forgot to mention GTA as being overrated. It's like being in a rap video, blehh. When will people stop glorifying the ghetto gangstah life?

Re: Where in the world...
I used to live near Niagara Falls on the US side. It's pretty much a total pit of abandoned ghetto these days (well, as of early 2005 anyway), so definitely go to the Canadian side. As for me...I'm not counting countries I've already visited (Canada, Germany, France), although that doesn't mean I do...

Re: Most overrated and underrated games
I'd say that FPSes in general are the most overrated games ever. Especially Halo. Another game I think is overrated is Myst. It feels like just a slideshow of pretty pictures, with no real story or anything. Most of the puzzles are just boring mazes; generally, the only interesting puzzles are findi...

Re: Things That Annoy You!
Boards that only put a small number of posts on each page and don't have a setting to change it. I don't like switching pages a lot, so when I can I'll set it to 50, or whatever the maximum is if it can't go up to 50.

Re: American English vs Commonwealth English
My mom would call a shopping basket/trolley/cart a "buggy", which drove me nuts.
