Re: Question for all you Elder Scrolls experts...
Hahaha.. no no, marriage has been one of the best choices I've ever made! I just don't have enough time in a week to do everything that I'd like to do.. At some point the kids will be "too cool for dad," and I'll have more time again.

Whoa!!!! I was totally unaware of this until just checking the forums here today.. this is so cool! I understand cautious optimism and all, but I'm certainly excited. And I forget who said it (I didnt' hit "quote"), but yes, I suspect this forum will begin getting more traffic again soon.....

Re: Question for all you Elder Scrolls experts...
Daggerfall almost got me kicked out of college. I spent way too much time on it playing all the side quests. It is navigable, my roommate played it and ignored the side quests and completed it fairly quickly (within one semester I believe) .. I saw a few months back that it was available as a free d...

Re: So... just wondering (question re: WYSIWYG web editors)
TinyMCE seems to be what Wordpress has adopted.. I'm no expert on either, but I use it on my site (audiodane.dandk.org) and it's wysisyg.. I wouldn't say I'm in love with its capabilities, but it's built-in and works.. It's no MS Word, but it's something..

Re: I still want to make an AGI game, one day!
We have moved into homeschooling this year for the first time, and while most of it is on my wife, I have signed up to teach a "technology" class (can't get more generic than that!) ... I plan to start with creative writing and TWINE to get them into the idea of making a choose-your-own-ad...

Re: Parser or Point and Click?
So it's been over a year since I've logged on (sorry), but this sounds awesome! I have been wanting to get back (AGAIN) to these old games with my kids and an expanded vocabulary would be great! Rather than a single person taking on this effort, I wonder if these pages could somehow capture a living...

If I could get the software for USD$50 or less, I would. But 75GBP, that's a fortune!

Re: SpaceVenture
Those are great, Tawmis! Very excited for you. I would feel better (as a backer) if the version released to the backers was somehow bigger than that released to the general public. The public demo could just be a reduced version of the backer demo, easier to build. Having finished the demo (finally)...

It's an interesting topic. I would feel better (as a backer) if the version released to the backers was somehow bigger than that released to the general public. The public demo could just be a reduced version of the backer demo, easier to build. I'm sure before long the backer demo will "end up...

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi, I'm Felix, Adventure fan since around the late 90s. Truth be told, I'm probably leaning more towards the LucasArts camp but I've sunk my fair share of hours (and money) into Sierra titles as well. Still got some gaps to fill though (QfG series, most prominently), we'll see how that goes. Welcom...

+1 .. time is more precious than it used to be.. I am trying to get back into it here and there where I can.. I am so excited to see SV one day, but I dread I'll not have time to play it!
