OK, let's start over.

Fresh install. Then installed your above-linked patch. This is the error I get:

"The procedure entry point ?Error@Log_t@@SAXHHPBDH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library DX_MODULE.DLL."

OK. Here's the game.exe file. I hope this is the one you want -- this is the game.exe that I have after applying the DLL files you gave me earlier. Well, we finally got off the World of Warcraft kick in the house (5 years? 6?) and are now either going back to old stuff (hello, QFG and GK) or looking into something new. I just got the hubby Alice: Madness Returns, and he seems to like it.

Some day I think I'll give Skyrim a try.

Interesting. I thought that DOSBox took care of the speed bug inherently -- I finished playing the game without issue; I believe there's a speed issue in the final scene with Ad Avis.

Do you guys have any advice/help for getting The Longest Journey to run on Windows 7? Try as I might, with compatibilities and other tips I've searched for online, my two-disc set just will not run on Win 7 64-bit.
