Re: Where in the world...

2. Italy (specifically Venice and Rome, though Florence wouldn't be a bad thing either) It' s with a great displeasure that I see that no one ever mentions Milan, as one of the cities he/she would visit if in Italy. This way I'll never get a chance to know you :( The difficulty is in choosing...

Traveling is fun...at least, it used to be, before all this crazy homeland security stuff.

Re: Things That Annoy You!

One of my biggest dislikes is blatant spelling/grammatical errors. Sometimes it takes all my willpower not to reply to an online comment that says something like, "Your great!" with, "'Your great'? My great what?" Not only that, but I'm ready to wager that most of the people lea...

Re: Which emotion is most powerful, do you think?

I'll agree that both fear and love have some crazy impact on people...I don't think any other emotions could make people do things that are so irrational. :p Thanks Maia. Once I finally got around to putting up a different tag, I realized I didn't have my PSP installed from the last reformat of the ...

Re: Which emotion is most powerful, do you think?

In general, I think fear is the strongest emotion. It's so strong it will push people to make a decision quickly because of it. Love, while strong, does not seem to have as powerful of an impact on the need to make a decision.

Granted, this is just my impression/opinion.

Re: Favorite Supporting Character

This is a tough one; partially because it's been such a darn long time since I've played. But I'll try. For GK1, I'd have to say Moseley, since he's such an entertaining sidekick. For GK2, I don't know if I'd consider Von Glower a supporting character, but then, he doesn't really fit the mold of the...

Re: News of Day

When it comes right down to it, ANY change is good, in my opinion. I'd be an isolationist by nature, but unfortunately, the new president cannot pull back and be only-American, thanks to Bush's destruction of any kind of credibility America has in the global environment. The reaction across much of ...

Re: News of Day

Most of the time, I vote for the least reprehensible candidate for political offices...which is a sad way of viewing our right to vote, to be honest. I won't deny that was partially the way I voted this time, but there was more to my choice as well. The deep unease I feel locally, nationally and glo...

Re: What are your thoughts on real life Voodoo?

There was a voodoo reference an article relatively recently about cleansing homes from wayward spirits in The New York Times. If you are registered (registration's free) you can take a peek: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/30/garden/30haunted.html Marie Laveau's in New Orleans is mentioned. Clearly, ...

Re: The Longest Journey/Dreamfall

That's something unusual, getting funding from a government for a game.

I suppose that would work if they thought it would spur economic development, however.

Re: The Longest Journey/Dreamfall

Isn't there supposed to be a third installment? It really was left hanging enough for one.

I enjoyed both TLJ and Dreamfall...tho I realized after playing Dreamfall that I really need to play TLJ again to understand how they transition.

Re: Favorite Quest for Glory game and why?

It's generally a toss up between QFG2 and 4...with 4 usually winning. The atmosphere, character development...all of it was incredible. The funny part is I was initially reluctant to play it (as well as any of the Gabriel Knight games) because of an irrational fear of werewolves and vampires. Good t...

Re: Your Favorite Moment?

QFG1 - Anything with Erasmus. He is hysterical. QFG2 - Julanar, of course. I also noticed you get more "flavor" text on the various discussions about stuff with Aziza if you continued your character from the prior game. QFG3 - I didn't have a real "jump out" favorite moment here....

If you sit through the credits of LB2, it shows you all the ways you can die.

I found that entertaining, especially since I recognized several from my own stupidity. :D

Well, I never played EverQuest, so I had nothing to compare it with.
