Re: New Star Trek Adventure Game

Since it is being developed by people from Telltale games, doesn't that mean it will most likely be a quick time event driven visual novel versus a "true" adventure game? I haven't played anything from Telltale, so I am not sure what they are like. It kind of depends. Telltale have made g...

Re: New Star Trek Adventure Game

Let's hope that it is real Trek, not Nu-Trek. Without entering into that debate, the aesthetics and setting are very much steeped in 90s Star Trek (although the same could somewhat be said about Lower Decks) but my impression is very much that this game is aimed at the old-school fan of 90s Star Tr...

New Star Trek Adventure Game

I was pretty excited to learn yesterday that there is a new Star Trek adventure game in the works to be released next year. Now when I first read the headline I was skeptical. The term "adventure game" can sometimes be used very liberally. But the company making this game are primarily mad...

Police Quest II Ammo Bug

So I've been playing through Police Quest II for the first time. And I seem to have found a problem. (had a quick look on the Sierra Help page for the game but didn't see anything like this) I'm at the very end of the game. I have calmed Marie and Bains is about to walk in. I hide on the side of the...

I think I'd actually be up for that. A little bit of fantasy-fulfilment. Maybe add some thriller elements with modern-day pirates or a shipwreck.

Re: Ken & Roberta Game Announcement

I'm very keen to understand more about the level of Roberta's involvement. She's the story-teller of the family. It was her creative vision combined with Ken's visionary coding that was so magical at the very beginning.

Colossal Cave (was Ken & Roberta Game Announcement)

Looks like nobody else has posted this here yet so I'll get the ball rolling (Obviously I'm not around here much but this is exciting) Anyway, the Space Quest Historian just broke the news and Ken and Roberta are working on a game. No details yet but apparently it will have a "Sierra flavour&qu...

The most memorable toy that comes to mind from my chidhood is https://www.dallasvintagetoys.com/images/products/detail/knightriderkitta0811.JPG https://www.dallasvintagetoys.com/images/products/detail/knightriderkittb0811.JPG You could press the number plate and it would say random phrases in KITT's...

Re: Star Wars / Star Trek Discussion (SciFi In General)

Very sad to just hear of the passing of Rene Auberjonois (Odo from Deep Space Nine).

We lost DC Fontana (writer) just a few days ago, and Aron Eisenberg (Nog) earlier this year.

Anyone else excited for Star Trek Picard?
I'm really pleased with what we've seen so far and am very pumped for January.

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

Don't think it's available in Australia yet. My next streaming site sign-up will be Amazon Prime for Star Trek Picard. No doubts the kids will bug me for Disney Plus when it arrives here. Not sure I have room in the budget for yet another service, but I'll admit I'm curious about the Mandalorian so ...

Re: Laura Bow and the Mechanical Codex

I hate basic. It gives me a headache just trying to read it. I started on Visual Basic, but have successfully purged it out of my head a long time ago, thank God. C# is fun. Having worked with both Visual Basic and c# for the better part of my adult life at the day job, I can concur. C# is much nic...
