Re: Gold Rush!

It's now for sale on Steam . The pre-discount price is a ridiculous $35. I agree. Obviously going to wait on a sale for this one, if I ever decide to get it. Looking at SteamCharts , this game isn't selling well at all right now and it's a shame because of all the effort put into the game. People w...

Re: Question re: Quest for Infamy

I purchased the game off the big sale they're having over at http://www.gog.com I played for about 5-10 minutes and that's it so far. I need to give it a chance but I just haven't felt like playing it yet. The sale runs through Nov. 25th, so it may not be a bad idea to pick it up when it hits >50%.

Re: It's time. Getting rid of it.

http://retro-treasures.blogspot.gr/ I was really excited to see this the other night! I saved the source just for something to remember this week by. It's been quite a week! I've met some great people in the community I never had a chance to talk to before. The popularity of the auction I didn't th...

Re: It's time. Getting rid of it.

Take lots of pictures of the games, manuals, etc - and keep the memory that way. That's amazing (how much you're getting for them), and even better if it's for the next step in your life (which I hope, does not include leaving us here at SHP!) Oh no, I'm here to stay! This place needs me, I...

Re: It's time. Getting rid of it.

It's been almost 24 hours since the auction listed and I couldn't have hoped for a better start! I can't believe the reserve hit already. It's been a bag of emotions so far... Part of me feels excited and I feel like I could do a flip right here in front of the computer. The other part of me feels s...

Re: It's time. Getting rid of it.

I responded to a PM earlier and thought I'd post it here to show some of the stuff I've already decided to sell. This isn't near all of it but there. Glad to hear you are interested! I'm going to list a portion of my collection on eBay tonight. This auction will have several of the rare titles in it...

It's time. Getting rid of it.

I am about to start selling off a large portion of my collection. I plan on listing the games on eBay probably starting Sunday 9/8. It looks like I'll be getting rid of a lot of the hi-res adventures, sealed copies of games I have, hint books, several of the Quest games and educational games. If the...

Re: Sierra Remakes

On a slightly related topic: I know that Sierra released at least the Remakes of Space Quest, Kings Quest and Leisure Suit Larry early on in the "old" boxes, and simply putting a sticker on it (like 256 colour version, different HW requirements, enhanced graphics etc.). Is it known, if th...

Re: Attention all DuckTales Fans!

I loved DuckTales growing up! I can remember renting the game for the first time at the local movie rental store and I didn't even get very far. A couple of stages I can still remember was the one on the moon and Transylvania. For nostalgia purposes I'm probably going to get this game when it comes ...

1. Beam me Up!

2.The Entire Sierra Community - here we are after all these years still talking about these games. We continued to talk about them LONG after we pretty much thought they were dead.

There is a clamshell Tandy release. It's the same as the grey box release except in a clamshell case. I've only seen it two maybe three times in ten years on eBay.

Re: Sierra Tournament: Best Easter Egg! (Round 3)

1.) KQ2 Batmobile
2.) KQ4 "Beam Me Up!"

I'll need to youtube the other one's. I've never seen them before, but they sound funny.
