Re: GK2 Beast Within Real Life Locations Tour

You certainly inspired me, that's for sure. Just checked, renne le chateau is about 288.497 km from where my grandmother and aunt/cousins live. Maybe I'll ask my dad if he'd like a (rather large) detour next time we go visit them :D . He usually drives when he visits them, so wouldn't be too much of...

Re: Steam and GOG sales

How does gog work, is it like steam where you have your games available online or do you have to download them and keep them on the computer? And how well do the games work, I mean, can you play them right away or do you still need to tweak them so they'll work with newer computers?

Re: Sierra Games: Where Do I Belong?

I vaguely remember playing this with my mom as a child. We never got very far i think. Only remember the intro and some talk about aliens and spaceships, at least I think I remeber, might be mixing it up with alien legacy which we got for free by buying LD. I later bought it cheap second hand, but m...

Re: Sierra Games: Where Do I Belong?

I don't know, I don't recall the graphics from tp being like that, not even the bg graphics :? . Nor do I recall any scene that looks like that. Then again, it has been some time since I last played it. This is difficult. I actually don't think I can think of any game at all with such graphics. I'll...

Re: Go see it now!!!

I think that it could have been compressed to two hours and would have been more exciting. I have to agree, at least when watching it on the big screen. I think it felt a bit too much like watching a series marathon, which is great when at home, where you can take breaks and eat in between and move...

Re: Sierra Games: Where Do I Belong?

It kinda looks like the setting sun reflected in the ocean, so I'm going to guess KQ4.

Re: Sierra's Worse Adventure Game?

I am sure I mentioned it here; but in a discussion with Al, he had mentioned that he had intended 2 or 3 more games for Torin's Passage, but Sierra was already in a downward spiral and declined it. That's just too bad. I actually thought it was a great young adult game. But maybe I am just being bi...

Re: Sierra's Worse Adventure Game?

For tawm's sake, I'd like to say codname iceman :P , but seeing as I've never played it, I'll have to hop on the anti PH2 train, that one was bad and just disgusting at times (sometimes, I still get a bad memory when using a stabler). Though I thought that the detail with the changing folder names w...

Re: A (Neverending Nights) Happy Thanksgiving!

Dunno, I tried to get some people together, but the spirit just wasn't there. I also would have liked to make a costume party for halloween, however, I fear that the whole costume thing sounds too expensive for my poor student friends. But I'll try again next year, and if I plan it a bit earlier, I ...

Re: So I'm wondering...

Hmm... I'd consider getting ToMI too, but I already have it, so... :) I haven't played the "new" MI1 or MI2 - are they very different to the original games (apart from different graphics, all-new speech etc.)? No, they are excactly the same. You can even swich ingame between the two witho...

Re: A (Neverending Nights) Happy Thanksgiving!

Sigh, I wish I could eat turkey and all the side dishes and desserts and so on. But alas, we do not have any thanksgiving here :( . Though you can buy frzen turkeys in some shops around thanksgiving, but I don't really have that many people to invite and a turkey is a big bird to eat alone.
