Re: King's Quest: A Knight to Remember review (no spoilers)
I still think Himalaya Studios is the only developer that can truly resurrect the old Sierra IPs properly. I'm like halfway through it I think and my thoughts are pretty much the same, there's a good KQ game in here somewhere but it's trapped under bad game design and inconsistent writing(That sudde...

Phantasmagoria 2 Question
So P2 with the installer on the site runs just peachy, but the videos lack the quality from playing it on Windows cause of heavy interlacing. Is it possible to run the game on DOS without interlacing like Collector's P1 DVD installer does? I know that I can use jafa's installer to run the Windows ve...

Re: King's Quest VII 1.4 Version
OK So I tried a different laptop and this time everything went well. I ran into that error Collector found, but like he said, it's fixable by changing cpu options on DOSBox. I have no idea why since I did nothing different. Well thanks for the advice guys. As for Qbix's question, actually my path is...

You can see me trying that in that video I posted.
Just tried normal core at 10000 cycles. Nothing changed.

Re: King's Quest VII 1.4 Version
OK so here's what's happening exactly, DOSBox status says this: http://s4.postimg.org/spy1avnr1/Error.png As for what happens in the actual process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YvUhHtZGgI Hope this clears what's going on. Don't worry about out of synch audio on the video, that's just DOSBo...

Re: King's Quest VII 1.4 Version
OK I think I haven't been clear enough, I apologize. It's not the game that's the problem, it's the fact that I have to install Win32 or the game won't work. After all if I try it, the game will close immediately saying I need Win32. The Win32 Setup tells me I need to create virtual memory and that'...

Re: King's Quest VII 1.4 Version
That's just it, I'm aware that I shouldn't do that cause Windows' admin bullcrap can be a problem, that's why I'm doing it in my second hard drive D:\, which doesn't have that problem, I play all my PC games on it. Of all the stuff involved in the process, only DOSBox itself is in C:\Program Files, ...

Re: King's Quest VII 1.4 Version
Just did, but once again I can't create Virtual Memory. Same "Can't create permanent SWP file" message. The DOSBox status window confirms it I guess, since it says WIN386.SWP file creation failed.
Does DOSBox actually support Virtual Memory?

Re: King's Quest VII 1.4 Version
See my problem with that when I try to create Virtual Memory(The WIN32 Setup tells me to do this), It won't let me, it says that it can't create a SWP file.

King's Quest VII 1.4 Version
So I was trying to get my copy working under DOSBox with Win3.1 installed, but sadly it gives me a message that I need Win32 installed, and from what I know, that can't be done on DOSBox. Then I tried VirtualBox but once again to no avail because apparently VirtualBox doesn't support MIDI emulation,...

Re: KQ1 SCI dwarf
I was actually replaying KQ1SCI the other day and was having the same problem. I climbed the path back up, re-entered and the dwarf was gone. It seems everytime you enter it randomizes the chance of the dwarf being there.

Re: Jurassic Park The Game
Just finished it.That was terrible. The graphics are ugly, the music is terrible and the story is as uninteresting as watching paint dry. They wanted to replicate Heavy Rain? Well congratulations, they did it: The gameplay is just as shallow, boring and dumb as that overrated piece of ****. I'm a huge ...
