Yes in King's Quest 1... as for being alive... I'd say, not in the standard sense. It's never revealed if I am alive or dead.

Is it a real egg? So it may or may not be alive. You have to ascend, climb the tree, to get it. And I think it might be referenced in KQ4. Was there a goose that lay golden eggs?
