I appreciate the Kings Quest series

Post by DonaldDuckCo »

I have beaten King's Quest 5, 6 and 7.

I have yet to beat King's Quest 1-4. I just wanna express my gratitude towards the imagination and wonders of these old games here.
I think 1-4 KQ games are probably the best, they are hard but very imaginative games. Where you can type out your thoughts you wanna express to the character.

King's Quest IV was my favorite of the series.

Yes, King's Quest 1 to 4 are great. :) King's Quest 5 and 6 are also good and very imaginative, especially when it comes to your character dying in strange ways.

I have yet to play King's Quest 7. The graphics are simply not my cup of tea. (Of course not, they're graphics). ;)

I also haven't played King's Quest 5 in a good long while. I would like to, but I would like to listen to the voices and also read the subtitles at the same time. Is that possible? Obviously, I understand if it's not.

Are you not a fan of Disney animation style?

I assume ye have not played Torin's Passage either?

Ack!!! Did I say I don't like the graphics because they're graphics?? Oops. *beats head against the wall* ;)

And yes, I'm not really a fan of the Disney animation style. Maybe it's because of, when I watched Disney as a kid, the graphics were blurry and indistinct. Later, as an adult, they always struck as overly cutesy (except when Donald lost his temper - I liked that). On the other hand, Donald is hard to understand at the best of times.

No, I never played Torin's Passage ... or the Black Cauldron (which is also a Disney movie, I think?) ... or either of the Manhunter games (which have nothing to do with it, except they came out about the same time as Black Cauldron). ;)
