Ah yes ... this one
Your Mahna-Mahna-Man looks more weary than the original "ticked off" wizard. I expect him to shrug and think, "Stuff the apprentice, the cat will keep an eye on him. I got a hot date with Lolotte. Later..."

When your sub looks like this, it's no wonder you repeatedly meet your demise...

Nicely done.
One question, though: for a few seconds, I thought that sub was actually a whale. *blush* Does it look like that in the original game?

Not at all. In the actual game, naturally it looks far more professional:Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 7:46 pm Nicely done.

However, the appearance of a whale IS intentional.
As are the cracks in the "ice" in the upper left of "E" and upper right of "M" , rather than just making it look reflective, I had some fun with it.
Half the fun of doing these in MS PAINT is doing them kind of poorly.

Re: The "MS Paint Your Favourite Games" Game
So ... with only the assistance of MS Paint, and a bit of free time, I took a couple of B&W sketches, did some colouring, and added some dialogue. I hope you like it.
Also, I don't think this needs to be said, but ... BORING LEGAL NOTICE: Pinky and the Brain are the property of Warner Brothers and Amblin Entertainment. (And the Mystery Guest is also the property of Warner Brothers). I'm just doing this for fun. So please don't sue.
Anyway ...
Hope you like it!

So ... no comment on it at all? I thought it was quite fun.

I am probably one of the few humans on this world who has never watched an episode of Pinky & the Brain. I am aware of them via popularity, but know nothing of them.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 1:04 am So ... no comment on it at all? I thought it was quite fun.

Right there with ya, Tawmis. Was out of college when P&TB came out, and as much as I love animation/animated cartoons, there were some things I just never watched; this was one of them. Never watched an episode of Animaniacs or Tiny Toon Adventures, either.
And don't get me started on Ren & Stimpy. Everyone supposedly LOVED it back in the day, and while I am a connoisseur of low-brow stupid humor, I just didn't "get" it. Their antics were supremely unfunny to me. Never could figure out why it ever had such an admiration/following...

As for Ren & Stimpy, I was a fan back in the day for the weird humor. The Ice Cream Bar/Space episode was fun.
I've got them all on DVD and tried to rewatch them a few years back, and - can't remember what I enjoyed. The Ice Cream Bar/Space one is still funny. One episode out of all the rest is not a great ratio.
I've not watched a lot of popular cartoons (Futurama, Family Guy, etc) - and only watched like the first two seasons of the Simpsons and South Park.
And quickly fell out of them. There's a few South Parks, post Season 2, I saw - like the World of Warcraft one. But not much.

The only one I watched all the way through was "Space Madness" (?) episode. My buddy who showed it to me didn't watch cartoons and was as straight-laced as they come, but he thought it was just SOOOO hilarious.Tawmis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:39 pm

Simpsons was solid for about the first 10+ years, and I still watch that and Family Guy but mostly out of habit, as their best days are definitely a ways back in the rear-view mirror...Tawmis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:39 pm I've not watched a lot of popular cartoons (Futurama, Family Guy, etc) - and only watched like the first two seasons of the Simpsons and South Park.

Still love South Park (they've really honed their satire over the last 25+ years) and really love Futurama; that's the only one I have every episode on DVD, at least all the way up through the recent Hulu revival streaming episodes (which I haven't seen).

Yeah, and really it's just the one segment - "I know what you want! You want my ice cream bar!"goatmeal wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 5:59 pmThe only one I watched all the way through was "Space Madness" (?) episode. My boss watches it all, and believes I am some kind of sinner of a geek for not watching them.goatmeal wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 5:59 pmSimpsons was solid for about the first 10+ years, and I still watch that and Family Guy but mostly out of habit, as their best days are definitely a ways back in the rear-view mirror...Tawmis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:39 pm I've not watched a lot of popular cartoons (Futurama, Family Guy, etc) - and only watched like the first two seasons of the Simpsons and South Park.

It's like Beavis & Butthead. I remember watching those all the time when they came out. Now I see an episode, and I am like, "WTF am I watching?"
Similar to Ren & Stimpy - it has the one line that I still think is quotable/funny - "Do you have teepee for my bunghole?"
Other than that, despite the heavy metal references, I am not amused by it anymore.
And it's certainly NOT because I've "grown up" and/or "matured" - because that's clearly not the case, since I still watch plenty of other cartoons still (Like X-Men, X-Men 97, Fire and Ice, Avengers, Dungeons & Dragons, The Tick, the list goes on and on!)

Re: The "MS Paint Your Favourite Games" Game
I thoroughly enjoyed the "Beavis & Butthead Do The Universe" movie when it came out 2 years ago on Paramount+, along the subsequent 2 further seasons of the TV series (new episodes coming to Comedy Central in 2025). That movie made me laugh more in those 87 minutes than anything had in the last 15-20 years...Tawmis wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:50 pm

Again, THAT stupid humor I love. Other "STUPID" humor, I just don't get.
But, as I always say, "You can't like everything."
