Lighthouse LITEPT2A (or similar) patch - German?

Hi guys,

I am putting together an installer for the German version of Lighthouse (by request).

Sierra released a "v2" update for Lighthouse which I include in the English version of the game.

So far I have not been able to find a German version of the update - any ideas where to look?

What is the version # of the German game? It may already be patched. Often localized versions of the Sierra games were later versions since they were usually released later.

Version file on the German CD reports "1.0c" (same as the English CD).

The game itself does not have the highlight cursor option or the hint system.

Have you tried to apply any of the three patches to the German version? Much of the code would be the same. I imagine that the highlighted cursor is non language specific. I have all three updates on my site. At worst, you might be able to isolate what each of the individual patch files address.

Hi,

From what I can tell...

LITE2PAT was the big v2 upgrade.
LITE2FIX is an additional patch to the v2 upgrade.
LITEPT2A is simply the above two combined into one upgrade.

A large part of the upgrade is a new hint system which is language specific.

The puzzle fixes might be possible to copy.

The highlight cursor feature has a menu option to turn it on/off - using the English update changes the menu to English (mostly).
