Question about Monkey Island I/II w/Vista

Hey all. I have a question about Monkey Island I and II. My brother has a Windows Vista and he can't seem to run MI I or II (it's just one disc) on his computer. When he runs the program from the launch window, he gets a message about not being able to run the game in full-screen. (I'll get a more specific message from him when I'm able to get on his computer)
It works fine on my XP, so is this a DOSBox issue? Or do I need something else?
