The game itself has problems on modern Windows, not just the installer. MoE would be more in keeping with the Squirt the Cat installers, where the games' executables also get updated. You can put in a request on the site, but jafa has been busy lately and might not respond right away.

When I got to register, it says his site's security certification has inspired.
I hope he makes an MoE update, I want to be able to play it on my Windows 7 system.

I PMed jafa to let him know that there is a problem. No telling how long it will take him to get it.

Do you think (once he gets around to it) he'd be able to make MoE compatible with today's computers? I don't really know the guy and heard of him only after this thread.

He could probably, but if he would want to and if he could ever get the time are the larger questions.

Well if you do talk to him, please tell him doing so would be a great service to the community. I know many dislike MoE, but there are those who do like it, on it's own merits, and I don't think it deserves to fall into oblivion and become un-playable as time goes on. It still is part of the series, even if the released version isn't really true to the originals.
