Hello,
I have owned and played the "Quest for Glory" Series faithfully for more than a decade through my many PC's and OS upgrades (Windows XP, Vista, 7). I have found use of the installers which plug directly into DOSBox to allow the enjoyment of "Quest for Glory I : So You Want To Be A Hero", "Quest for Glory II : Trial By Fire", "Quest for Glory III : Wages of War", "Quest for Glory IV : Shadows of Darkness". I have not found the same success utilizing the installer for "Quest for Glory V : Dragon Fire". I have tried clean, fresh installs utilizing the installer (I am running 32-Bit Windows 7 Ultimate), installing via my original GAME and INSTALL QFG V CD's. I have tried changing around compatibility and still come to the same issue. Whenever I attempt to start and run QFG V, it goes to black for a moment and then Windows 7 informs me that the program stopped working is is being closed. It is very distressing to find that the final chapter in this wonderful series is not longer compatible with the newest operating system. While I realize that by all means its not meant to, I thought I would post this in hopes someone would provide insight and perhaps a solution to my problem, I wish to complete this series again and enjoy this treasure of a series in its entirety.

Quicktime 3.0
I have tried the latest version and the 3.0 version to ascertain if this was the issue, I still cannot get it to load up at all

Quicktime 3.0 at this present time, I have tried both downgrading and upgrading to no avail...
Re: Quest For Glory V : Dragon Fire [WINDOW 7 Compatability]
I'm not sure if it is a QuickTime issue, if it crashes on launch it almost sounds like the Win2k patch did not get applied. Try reapplying it.

Reapplied this once again, it still shows the Program stopped working pop up and sends the usual to Microsoft....
Re: Quest For Glory V : Dragon Fire [WINDOW 7 Compatability]
And it didn't ask for the patch? Have you tried to update your graphics card divers?

Re: Quest For Glory V : Dragon Fire [WINDOW 7 Compatability]
It says patch successfully applied to QFG5.exe;
I noticed last week they did release a new driver update for ATI Graphics Cards, I am downloading it to see if it effects anything related to my problem.
[RESOLVED] A note to users with HDTV's being utilized as monitors, reduce the resolution to a lesser setting to allow the game to recognize, it is unable to run at higher demand HD Resolutions. How I totally missed this I do not know, but I know it now
