New Acquisitions Thread (image heavy)

Post by Collector »

There is a new acquisitions thread on Tawmis.com, so I thought that it might be nice to have one here. Post your new Sierra games here. I'll get things started, so here're my new ones:

and

Now I only need PQ1 VGA standalone. Next, an Impressions game:

I can now add a boxed KQ7 ver 2 (with DOS interpreter)to my duplicates list. Any takers?

I just bought these :D

BLADE RUNNER (rare BIG box)

KING'S QUEST VII & KING'S QUEST VIII (dc)
Image
Image

LEISURE SUIT LARRY VI : SHAPE UP OR SLIP OUT (jc) - the Talkie version
Image

AND I actually just now found Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth here - only 2 left, so if you're looking for the boxed version, it's there.

I know I already have it, but it's only the jc version with a ripped case cover.

If jafa can export the new acquisitions thread on Tawmis.com I will put it up on this board.

So very envious of that boxed TBW...

Kind of old, so it may be missing a couple of things, but here's mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcWa7Hk9YKY

What I don't understand about that is the user names... say that Sycotroll posted in the thread on tawmis.com and he's not a user here - how would that user name appear once imported? Same thing if he imports the Sierra forum threads.

Perhaps the names would have no links, as if anon. poster.

Post your new Sierra treasures here (image heavy)

Note: This is a repost of a thread from Tawm's site. I think that it will be of more interest here. Last summer I spent a fair bit to fill some holes in my collection and started this thread. I wish that it could have been simply imported, but short of that I have used quotes for the other peoples' posts. If you wish to post your swag, do it in the New Acquisitions Thread

"I just went on a small eBay/Amazon spree. I say small because everything was under $15. Nothing rare, but some glaring holes in my collection. I already had most of these games in the form of parts of collections or CD only copies. What I found remarkable is the condition and completeness of these games for the price. All in mint condition, all complete down to the registration cards.

You can see the pristine condition these are in. I also got LSL casino for $1.50, but it was lacking the box. It was the last of the Larry series that I did not have in some form or another. I am still awaiting the arrival of KQ2, which is supposed to be in "like new" condition. I shall see."

I paid more for my Code Name: ICEMAN - that I know for certain.

Well-purchased!

I am still hunting down Space Quest 1 (EGA) and Police Quest 1 (EGA), myself. :)

Cool. Maybe now you can hack Codename: ICEMAN and make it less impossible. ;)

Should I add those to my collection as well, Collector? You know my tastes.

The two Man Hunter games were fun - but VERY different (gameplay) than ANY other Sierra game.

I want all SCI and AGI games, but would place these lower on the list than many others. I got them now because I managed to buy them for $2.95 each. I know that Al has something coming to brag about for a very nice price.
