It helps when you use a Wacom tablet and pen at work.
I'm so used to working in Photoshop that I kept wanting to use the shortcut keys like (I) for ink dropper (Z) for zoom and (B) for brush.

Same here. I've used Photoshop for a good decade now and when trying any other digital imaging program (such as GIMP) I start complaining.Jules wrote:It helps when you use a Wacom tablet and pen at work.

Nearly done, and I think I discovered something new about myself . On top is of course the original, on the bottom is my as-yet unfinished remake, made from scratch in MS Paint.

Only with Paint!? This is incredible. Your attempt is really gorgeous, Rudy.
Did you use a tablet and pen like Jules?

Nope, just my old mouse with dusty clogged-up wheels . Couldn't wait to show it. Took me seven hours so far.

Man, I used to be so good with MS Paint back when I was making KnP games, and in spite of that, Rudy is totally impressing me off the wall. The GK1 pic is just amazing.
Actually, it's his bony kneecaps, but... YES. Yes, he's totally rocking some sunglasses!Tawmis wrote:Dude. That is so much win. Is he holding a pair of sunglasses?

Wow, dude. That's awesome. In light of this, I know I said these pics are supposed to look bad, but those that wish to make MS Paint masterpieces can go right ahead and do it. I just wanted to make sure that people who say they have no artistic talent would still participate. Because these things all look awesome. Talent or no!

Here is - literally! - a five minute done scene from Space Quest 3! I actually timed myself and stopped at 5 minutes (and thus didn't get to do all the shading I would have liked!) But here you go...
That ship was a !*#$( ...
And it still looks crappy!
