Well I've scaled them 400% using raw pixel doubling. So the images are the same "physical" size on the screen (almost full screen on my laptop), and have the same "net resolution" as the originals. Normal scaling methods introduce tons of artifacts of course since they're meant for jpeg scaling... that's why I picked 4x ... no "algorithm" artifacts..
Only problem is a few of the resource file images aren't "complete." Such as the KQ intro screen with the scrolls but no words on it. And other things like that... It would be nice to actually have characters on the screenshots too though. But that's likely a whole lot more work (unless someone else has already done it).
I looked at MobyGames, and it looks like they did screen grabs from DOSBox or something similar-- that used what looks like scaling with anti-aliasing enabled, so the "fullsize" screen grabs are all fuzzy..
