Up next-- KQIV...

Post by audiodane »

Just finished KQIII tonight. 202 out of 210. Going through the point list, I did not eavesdrop on the thieves nor enter the tree stump as a fly.. oh well. I really am enjoying going back and playing these old games... :) KQI, II, III down.

I had been planning on going through all the KQ's and then go back to do my true favorites, all the SQ's ... but now I'm wondering if I should play them in release-order instead which would put SQ1 up next... We certainly played them as they were released, rather than by series. And I wouldn't be progressing through the more advanced gameplay of later KQ games only to be thrust back into the AGI interface (not a bad thing, just sayin') ...

Oh, the woes of decision making... :)

cheers,

I'd do each series, so you can enjoy each story much better.

That and - despite popular votes - KQ4 is my favorite of the KQ series (followed closely by KQ6... but still).

Oh now you're just making the decision even harder. Stop it! :)

Are the type that reads things like Foundation (Asimov) or The Chronicles of Narnia (C. S. Lewis) in chronological order rather than publication order, too??? :)

I fancy myself to be a publication-order kind of guy .... :)

When it comes to literature, I'm all for publication order, but within a given series: for example, I'm now reading all Conan Doyle's 4 novels and 56 short stories about Sherlock Holmes in the publication order. But when it comes to different series, I'm all for series continuity and when I replay my Sierra adventures I always complete a series before jumping on to the next.

I am all for doing the stories in order... The only exception is Star Wars.

People tell me there were prequels made... They tell lies.
