Manhunter I could also see as a movie... without the cliff hanger at the end of the second one, that is.

Consider a Hollywoodised Gabriel Knight movie... with the following leads:

Jean-Claude van Damme as Gabriel Knight
Christina Aguilera as Grace Nakimura
Mos Def as Detective Inspector Mosely
Michael Jackson as Dr John
Paris Hilton as Gerde

*shudder*

Gaaaaaaahhhh!!!!

I don't think I've ever seen anything that mean come out of Hollywood yet. A little Paris Hilton here, a little Van Damme there, but never in the same movie.

I think Mos Def's okay. It's that other rapper 50 Cent we need to worry about.

Wouldn't that kind of cast be like giving the role of Larry Laffer to Brad Pitt and the role of Passionate Patti to Joan Rivers?

Because I'm usually very nice? ;) So I think I'm allowed to be mean in one or two posts. ;)

I wasn't being serious in the least in that post, in case you were wondering. I was just thinking of a worst-case scenario, that's all.

As for Mos Def - from what I've seen of him, I think he's not bad as an actor (although I only saw him as Ford Prefect). I just can't picture him as Mosely, though.
