Pepper's Adventures in Time sound issues

Post by Crusader »

I finally tracked down my old Pepper's Adventures in Time disks, and eagerly installed them to my HD, and fired up the installer, and everything went off without a hitch. I didn't have any errors, and DOSBox decompressed the audio files.

I went to play the game, and alas, no music whatsoever. I did get sound effects.

Here's my info.

Also, unrelated, any chance of getting a "Hoyle Classic Card Games" installer? I've been itching to play eucher with King Graham and Dinky the gangster.

It doesn't look like anything is missing. Can you play MIDIs outside of the game? Try editing the RESOURCE.CFG soundDrv line to ADL.DRV, i.e.:

Code: Select all

 videoDrv  = VGA320.DRV
 soundDrv  = ADL.DRV
 audioDrv  = AUDBLAST.DRV
 joyDrv    = NO
 kbdDrv    = IBMKBD.DRV
 mouseDrv  = STDMOUSE.DRV
 memoryDrv = ARM.DRV
 minHunk   = 243k

I can play MIDIs outside of the game. But, I changed the soundDrv line like you said, and all is good. Thanks a lot!
