I've played it. Not Sierra's best, but still an enjoyable little adventure.

Re: Any Fans of Lost in Time?
I really enjoyed Lost in Time when it first came out, but unfortunately I was never able to finish it. There was a bug where it locked up later in the game and I eventually gave up trying to fix it. Perhaps there was a solution after that point.

Maia, you should give it another try when you get a chance. I didn't have any problems with it on my Vista 64.

Try ripping the audio track to your hard drive and playing the game with ScummVM.

Re: Any Fans of Lost in Time?
I've played it (after much struggling, as you probably recall, Collector ), and found it interesting, in spite of some of the bizarre puzzles.
I wish I'd started watching MacGyver reruns before I started playing this game, though. Some of the puzzles in LiT are copied almost exactly from MacGyver -- creating an electromagnet out of a piece of metal wrapped with copper wire connected to a battery in order to open a door, for instance.

Re: Any Fans of Lost in Time?
I will give it a try again someday. I'll keep that suggestion in mind, Collector. (Actually, I'll probably forget it as soon as I leave the boards, but that's why I'll come back and check here first before I try playing again.)
I think they purposely modelled Doralice after MacGyver. I vaguely remember some one drawing that parallel at the time game came out. I didn't realise they took one of the puzzles directly from the show, though.

It did lead to some improvements in the way DOSBox handles MSCDEX emulation, even if we didn't completely fix the lockups. Anyway, ScummVM is the way to go for the Coktel Vision CD games.Akril wrote:I've played it (after much struggling, as you probably recall, Collector ),

good to know. Did you have to manually close the console window for the ripper?

I also played a big part of it but don't really remember what made me quit. Not that I remember much from that game.
Btw I never really enjoyed the surreal puzzles in Coktel games, which is also true for Cryo games, which is also French
