I'm fully upgrading the GK2 page in the Chest, but ran into an obstacle this time: recording the music.
There are some songs I can play using the SCI viewer. However When trying to save the song as a .wav in the SCI viewer, then other programs (where I try to import the created .wav file) say the file is corrupt/not recognizable. Is there an audio codec I'm missing or is this a bug in the SCI viewer or something?
More complicated to record is the music during the cut scenes. During those cut scenes, there are a lot of additional sounds like speech or ambient sounds, and I can't find the music in the SCI viewer either. Yet, I have noticed that the main GK2 theme can be heard here in SHP. So how did you manage to record that, Collector?

Re: Recording GK2 music
I ripped it from the Gabriel Knight Mysteries bonus CD. It is a hybrid CD with one data track, but the other tracks are Rebook audio, that can be extracted with any audio CD ripper. I have the entire disc on this page:

The in game audio is mostly in the RESOURCE.AUD, RESOURCE.SFX and in the movie VMD files. Some music is going to be overlayed with background sounds in the same recording and not much can be done about that. I don't have a link for it off hand, but the Game Audio Player is good for extracting audio files to WAV from the SCI games. You might have to wade through a lot of nonsense to find what you are looking for.
