Poor CW ;)

Everyone hates it, at least considering its abysmal ratings.

That sounds interesting. If it takes off though I suppose Mr Bamber will leave Law & Order UK. Shame if that happens, I kinda like hearing him with his own accent for once :P

So, I've been trying my hand at Being Human US for some strange reason and so far it seems to lack all subtlety and charm. However, it does get some points for quickly doing its own thing.
The introduction of 'the old ones' was totally hilarious for its badness. I pretty much howled with laughter at all the doom and gloom references to 'the dutch' The writers must have thrown a dart at a map for a random place 'in the old world', it especially doesn't make sense as they are referred to as a 'thousand years old' as this would mean they were either Frisian or Frankish.

Now, Being Human original flavour. Damn, due to real world reasons I kinda expected what happened, still the show actually went there. The finale broke my heart but it was so very good. Also, when Russel Tovey cries, I cry.

So The Defenders is kind of a cool show. Any Jim Belushi haters here? I don't mine him. I actually really enjoyed According to Jim as well.

I don't mind Jim Belushi. I enjoy According to Jim as well, when I can catch it. However, on Aussie TV, it's been confined to a station that I can only get if I go out and buy a digital TV - and I'm not buying a digital TV just for one show. :P

Even if I did, this show is only broadcast between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. Around this time, I'd be getting home from work and making dinner. So... :?

Dammit! :x Blasted TV, always denying me the programs I like! :P

A great set of actors I enjoy to watch. Gotta love Sean Bean. I also saw Jason Momoa in there for a split second it looked like.

Yes, Jason Momoa is Drogo, the greatest Khal of the Dothraki people.

If you guys are interested, here you can find the HBO cast along with the official artwork for their characters.

If you want to be up to speed with series, there's this great Making Of available through HBO. It introduces the setting, the Noble Houses, the characters and some background information on the book series.

I jumped in with my wife one watching House season 5. After we finished it I bought her season 6 for her birthday (on the 7th) and then we started from scratch on season 1 and will go straight through. I've never actually taken the time to sit through a House marathon. The few episodes I've seen I've really liked so what better way to start then from the beginning. Quite good so far. Of course it gets much better, as I've seen. Can't wait to catch up to season 6 again. I understand season 7 is on the air right now. Haven't seen any of those yet.

For fellow SUPERNATURAL fans (looks at Andrea) - this might be a good read.

Alpha Male Madness 2011: And the Winner Is...

After four weeks, seven rounds, 64 competitors, 12,000 Facebook likes, 8,000 blog comments and 1.5 million votes, the winner of the 2011 Alpha Male Madness tournament is...

Congratulations to Jensen Ackles! The star of the CW's Supernatural—playing beleaguered but oh-so-pretty hunter Dean Winchester—is this year's champion. The actor retains his 2009 title, from the first year we did this tournament.

So what makes Jensen so great? Here are just a few testimonials about Jensens's appeal from the fans who voted for him!

Family Don't End With Blood: "Jensen Ackles [is] amazingly talented and very humble and down-to-earth and gracious. His portrayal of Dean Winchester speaks to me in ways I can't really explain...He's the eldest sibling who feels he falls short, devoted family man, and if you want to get into a 'cause,' SPN is very much based on the fact that 'family don't end with blood.' Surrogate family is just as much family as blood family. For Dean, family comes first, even when it's not his own family. Jensen himself has been an inspiration to me in acting. He can give even the most ridiculous or mundane dialogue and scene meaning. His work ethic is incredible, and I admire the man as much as I've admired any actor...And yes, watching DVDs of his shows, or convention videos of his singing and Q&A's makes me smile."

Melody J: "Alpha Male = when something has to be done, no matter how hard or the personal cost to himself, he is going to get it done and protect everyone else in doing so. I don't watch Glee, but I have watched Supernatural since the very first episode. The character of Dean Winchester as portrayed by Jensen Ackles is the Alpha Male on TV right now. His being 'supernaturally' hot is just an amazing bonus."

sympathyforthedragon: "Here's the deal. Darren Criss is wonderful. He has achieved success through his talent both onscreen as Blaine and in his real life. He is an incredible man, and if he were up against anyone else I would vote for him without any conscious thought. But. Jensen Ackles is not only a supernaturally gorgeous man with a voice that could melt the Arctic (both speaking and singing, gals; he's got it all) but he's a supremely talented actor who doesn't get nearly enough credit for his work. As Dean Winchester, Jensen has had to go from kicking paranormal ass one minute to pulling out a heart-wrenchingly emotional scene the next. He's been to hell and had to deal with the aftermath...and we all suffered with him. Jensen is above and beyond the better actor (nothing against Darren, he just hadn't had much of an opportunity to showcase his talents yet), has remarkable directing talent, and is warm and welcoming to fans. Jensen Ackles gets my vote."

Well, I can't help but agree. He's not only gorgeous. He's also a good actor, a funny man (at least judging by conventions' videos and interviews) and incredibly sexy.

So, kudos to Jensen!
