No, it's just a mini-game based on an April Fool's joke. It's just one screen, but it gives you a feel for the graphics, voice acting, and gameplay (with the real game lacking a QFG-style fight scene.)

"Space Quest for Glory" is just a joke created by the guys making the SQ2 remake. SQ2+ is the "more with it" you're thinking of. Think of SQoG as a gag demo.
