Adventure: All in the Game

Post by Akril »

Some of you may remember when I made a post announcing the release of my game Adventure: The Inside Job a few years ago.

Well, as of this posting, the sequel to that game is very, very close to completion! Beta-testing is currently underway, and I should be ready to release it within the week, if all goes well.

Here's the thread about it on the AGS forums, which includes a few screenshots...

And here's the trailer.

Well, it's finally finished! Here's the link (112 MB).

And here's the website (which includes a walkthrough, in the unlikely event of your getting hopelessly stuck).

Kudos to Akril, the game was a lot of fun!! If you ever make a third game I'd def love to see more moments like the scene in Space Quest 4 where you have to conduct your business and not be spotted by the main character/player doing theirs.

Maybe have a moment where say Vohaul rebels and tries to screw over Roger by taking a crucial item, for example the Warp Motivator from Space Quest 3 and hiding it in another game, and you have to find it and return it to it's location before Roger arrives and is stuck there or something like that

Thank you! That part with Roger showing up was just a throwaway gag, but expanding on it like you suggest could make for an interesting puzzle or two.

(I don't actually have any plans for a third game right now, but I'll certainly remain open to the possibility.)

I like how my hand just clicked on and saved the download link before I even consciously processed that you were finished the game. This is one of the few cases where my anticipation preceded my awareness.

Does this game use a MIDI soundtrack as well? I'm on Windows 7 now and working with MIDI programs is a pain. Just wondering if I have to mess with it. Currently I hear no music on the menu screen.
