It's point and click adventure for the DS. Personally I find the term a bit misleading as the focus is more on solving puzzles and less on adventuring. Nonetheless it is an entertaining game.

Don't have a DS - but have a friend who does (as well as him having a daughter who does) - I can ask if they have played it (but then neither of them were classic Sierra fans - so can they be trusted?)

So far it is obvious where to go. (They tell you everywhere)
The road to get to your location is filled with puzzles though.
Not comparable with a sierra adventure, but it does stimulate the mind.
