Re: Gray Matter US release - spelling?

Well, the NA release did seem more of an after thought. Looking at the PDF, it appears that it was Germans that did the localization. That would explain some of the awkward language. Does anyone have the British manual? Was it distributed on the game disc as a PDF?

These issues aside, it seems that Gray Matter's greatest failure was its marketing and distribution. They would have been best off to have simply put it on Steam or some other reputable digital distribution service.

Edit: just saw you previous post. Could you post the British PDF?

Both the Collector's Edition (which included the European English version) and the UK release came with physical manuals, both of which had language problems. I think there may also have been PDFs on the disc.

EDIT: There are, but the PDFs for both of the above-mentioned releases are the German one. The physical manual for the UK release is in English, however, and may be almost the same as the US digital version of the manual. The German manual has problems, too, at least the typo "Dead Radin" for the name of author Dean Radin... (This was fixed for the English-language manual(s).)

P.S. I was one of the testers for Gray Matter (European English release only!) and am therefore bound by the NDA I signed, but everything I have said here is gleaned from information available to everyone at this point (meaning it is okay for me to discuss). I only just learned by playing the US version myself that there are these big differences between the releases.
