I decided to start the police quest games over again and I am actually able to beat police quest 1vga now with a later DOSBox version. I decided as there is not enough problem I wouldn't use the DOSBox patch with space quest just before I was about to use it. I want to get the launcher back but I have no clue how. I don't feel like typing to start the game anymore. I want to get back the launcher for police quest also.

Uninstall, reinstall the games, but don't patch them. You can replace DOSBox .63 with .72 manually, but you will need to track down the missing files and patches to manually apply them. You will also need to configure DOSBox for each game.
