A recommendation: Casebook

Post by AndreaDraco »

I'm playing Casebook: Episode 1 - Kidnapped, the first installment in a brand-new episodic series of adventures. I'm writing a review of it for Adventure Gamers but in the meantime I can't help but recommend it: it has a very good plot, a fitting/hard-boiled writing full of sharp sarcasm and the gameplay - an intriguing mix of first-person exploration, mini-games and actual puzzles - is funny and entertaining. Plus is relatively cheap and not to long.

I finished it and I'm really intrigued. It won't win any Academy Awards or Golden Globe, and maybe the reliance on mini-games is a little too heavy, but the storyline is solid, the themes interesting and well developed and the main characters - even if a too over-acted - is likable and charming ;)
