Earthsiege Expansion and DOSBox
Earthsiege Expansion and DOSBox
I recently purchased Earthsiege off of Amazon, and it seemed to work fine, aside from the occasional lock-up, which only forces me to t close DOSBox and restart it. However when I installed the Expansion, when it locks up, I close DOSBox and restart the game, however instead of allowing me to play the game, it tries to Load a video that it cannot and it never moves forward to the actual game. Can anyone tell me what's causing this?
Re: Earthsiege Expansion and DOSBox
Did you install the game with the installer from here? Was this the floppy or CD version of the game. If you used the installer from here, run the diagnostic and attach the results here.

Re: Earthsiege Expansion and DOSBox
Its the CD Version, and I fixed the problem as it turns out, I had tried to install the 1.01 patch and then the expansion and it kinda messed up my installation. When I had reinstalled the game, I forgot to delete the corrupted files from the folder, so I had a folder for Earthsiege within my folder for Earthsiege. However the freezing issue is there from time to time, but its not that big of a deal.
Re: Earthsiege Expansion and DOSBox
You can try the new installer to see if it helps.

Re: Earthsiege Expansion and DOSBox
I've tried the installer, but I don't really like the resolution, since it makes all the text pixelated and hard to read(At least for me it does) and it removes the voice. Not to mention that it doesn't seem to like the expansion pack installer either.

Re: Earthsiege Expansion and DOSBox
You can use the configuration tool included to change resolution and rendering modes. Run the diagnostic tool and attach the results here so I can see what may have happened to the voice.
