Ok, so I set machine=tandy in the DOSBox settings in order to get 3 midi channels, but I just don't get that same sound as when I recorded the videos a few years ago. So eh... does anybody have any idea how I got this particular sound (hear clip below)? It's not the usual tandy sound I think. I can't remember how I did it

Re: Gold Rush sound
Don't forget that the audio for Gold Rush! does not start until well into intro. It should work fine with the SHP installer.

Re: Gold Rush sound
Tried with the SHP installer. It has the same 3 channels as when I did it directly through DOSBox, but not that particular piano sound as in the link above.

Re: Gold Rush sound
Tandy did not have a piano sound. It had 3 square wave sounds and the noise channel. The piano sound would have been manipulated, perhaps with some odd settings with ScummVM or after the fact like a MIDI dump or capture and then taken into a MIDI sequencer program to change the patch. Remember, PC Jr and Tandy predate the adoption of the General MIDI definitions.

I know. I have no idea whatsoever how I did it... Didn't use ScummVM though. Strange strange... Anyway, I pulled the songs out of the videos I made a few years ago. Not the proper way to get them, but it did the trick. The piano sounds too cool to skip it .
