Hey everybody! This is my first post, but unfortunately it's one of frustration!

I'm at my wits' end: I simply can't figure out why the healer gnome, instead of taking my iron, amberglow, and tree root, tells me,

"That iron is interesting, friend, but ye hold it fer now."

"A fine specimen of amberglow, friend! Hold tight to it; it may come in useful later."

and

"Ye might find a use fer that tree root later, me friend, but not now."

I know she won't sell it for you unless you have 250 gold pieces, but she won't even take the items. I even bent so low as to cheat to get enough gold pieces, and she still gave me those three lines! It can't be a bug, or she wouldn't have those insane comments when I try to give her what I ask for. What's wrong? I had to CHEAT, and still nothing!

It seems like, for some reason, I had to click on in to listen to her original shpiel about it again, after I retrieved everything, before she would accept the three items she desperately needed.

Those gnomes are inscrutable.
