King's Quest VII for Windows 7
Is it possible to install and run KQ7 using Windows 7? I've tried doing this a few different ways, but nothing seems to work. Will the new version of DOSBox work, even for the Windows version of KQ7? Not sure which version I have, but I think it's one of the older ones...

When I click on the updated link: "King's Quest VII for DOSBox, it says the page can't be found. Or should I be clicking on one of the other links below it?

Will this fix the firecracker bug, too?

I'm sorry to bother you again but i'm really mad to play this game again
I was able to install KQ7 with the installer from here:
http://sierrahelp.com/Files/NewInstalle ... DOSBox.exe
But (after a little tweaking of the batchfile an dosbox.conf; cut off the exit command) im getting this error message in DOSBox:
Out of movable memory; 3054266130 bytes requested
Script 15/$2cc
Playing with the memsize settings of DOSBox doesn't help in this case.
The version file on the cd said: 1.51 an because of the .EXE files i think its the windows version of the original game of 1994.
(I even found the orig. box of the game with all goodies, manual, etc in my parents attic and was sooo happy about it )
After a lof of trying and google-ing around it turns out, i have the german version!
Is it possible, that the german version need to much memory or something?
Like i said before, i'm sorry about bother you again but at the time i palyed KQ7 for the first time i was only 10 years of age or something and i couldn't complete the game, it was to difficult.
I want to try it again, now that i'm almost 30...
Is there at least a bare possibility to get it running?

The installer uses a binary level patch to upgrade earlier versions to Version 2.00b. It is designed for the US release. I would be very surprised it the patch part of it worked with a localized version. Even it it would, you would end up with an English version. The installer work with the Spanish version, but that does not need to be upgraded as it is already version 2. It also will update the 1.51 French, but I had a copy of it to create the patch, which unfortunately converts it to English.
Without a copy of your version, there is not much I can do about it.
