Gold Rush - Looking for a Disk 1 Image

Post by JohnnyPhantom »

Hey Everyone,
I just won and received a boxed copy of the game "Gold Rush" the game comes with the Five 5.25" floppies and the Two 3.5" Floppies, however my disk 1 of the 3.5" is no good :( can anyone send me a data image of disk 1? I know I can find a zip of the entire game online, but I'd like to see if I can repair/restore the disk

Also, I think all of the downloads I found of this game have had the copy protection removed, so when you start the game it just jumps to a intro screen that says "and Sierra" skipping the first part of the into. So thats not for me, I want the orignal 100% game ^-^

Thanks everyone!!
~John

Collector may be able to help you; but will need verification that you own the game (if he has it) which usually means taking a picture with the game doing something specific to make sure it's not something you grabbed off of google images or something! :)

He doesn't let me do the image suggestions, which is something like: Hanging upside down while holding the box in the left hand, and Disk1 in the right hand...

I don't see why he doesn't use my suggestions.

 I'd like to clarify - it was a work week. So 5 days, not a full 7!

Johnny,
I have the game but it's stored away somewhere. I'll take a look around for it if you still need it.

Wow, did I get sidetracked. YES I'd still would love a image of disk 1
I can provide ANY proof needed to prove ownership.
Included but not limited to the old fashioned page # line # word # from the guide
any trivial question of whats in the box or on the box (hopefully I have everything inside:P)
or a silly picture of me holding the box and games in a silly but! identifiable manner ^-^

ALSO

I have enabled the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option in this post, so I wont be a ghost for 2 months when this topic is replied to.
Thanks everyone!

Hard to beat proof when you have the current thread like that! I don't have a floppy drive myself to get it for you - but someone here might!

So far I was able to kinda "reconstruct" a disk 1 from the files floating around the internets. but its the copy protection cracked version... BLAH I want the copy protection intact. I sent a PM to collector in hopes he can help me out. fingers cross!!

Also I know there's only trace amount shown on the photo, but bonus points to anyone who can ID my desktop wallpaper :P
