King's Quest 1996 Calendar?
Does anyone have this or know what I'm talking about?
I remember this insert in my KQ 7 big box version 2.0. It said something about ordering a 1996/1997? calendar with King's Quest artwork. I'm very interested in at least getting to view scans of it or even purchasing it.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a picture of it (the flyer) in my eBay searches and couldn't find much about the calendar anywhere.

Don't recall ever seeing it either. Not heard anyone mention it. May be one of the things that they were going to produce but never saw the light of day.

Yeah... that's a shame if so. I see pages like this, http://www.abebooks.com/9780879056667/C ... 056665/plp, that show some details for it and some pages that say it's out-of-print or out-of-stock. Got me excitedTawmis wrote:Don't recall ever seeing it either. Not heard anyone mention it. May be one of the things that they were going to produce but never saw the light of day.
Then I saw this on a Google groups page:
Of course the record of the item is no longer available. If this really does exist, it could be one of the rarest video game-related items I've come across.FA: King's Quest 1996 Calendar + Hints - Sealed

Collector or Rudy might know if they have ever come across it.

Now if we get Rudy in here - he's got a ton of Sierra collectable stuff. He might also know if it ever saw the light of day.

I think it's safe to say that no such calendar has ever been made. Several Sierra alumni of that time say they are unaware of it ever being made.

Re: King's Quest 1996 Calendar?
I actually do have a copy of this!
I remember I saw an ad for it in Interaction and had my dad order it for me. I think we must have called in at the end of 1996, the year it was made for, because we got it for really cheap (less than 5 bucks I believe). Really great - and apparently really rare - KQ item, with high-res screens of all the box art plus a bunch of random King's Quest VII pics, such as the cover to Peter Spear's stand-alone hintbook.

I just took some quick pictures for those interested. Sorry for the quality/lighting, I was in a hurry.

Awesome Daventry!
Very rare indeed. Those are the first screens I've seen of the actual calendar.
