Marrying Katrina.
Hey guys, so I have this problem. I'm about to start a brand new Thief - Wizard or Wizard - Thief (Don't really care at this point) and I was wondering if it'd be possible for me to marry Katrina if I do so in Quest for Glory 5. This is a question that is argued by most but no one seems to have given me any proof that it IS possible to marry Katrina with either of the two combinations mentioned above, or even a Fighter with Thieves skills. I'd be most grateful is someone manages to provide me with these, I kinda need to know fast. Many thanks!
Re: Marrying Katrina.
It's definitely possible. I did it with my thief. I don't know if it mattered that my thief had Magic too. But I only played the game once with a Thief character, and I married Katrina. I don't remember if I had to do anything special because it was over a decade ago.

I don't know exactly how things were implemented in the game, but there is absolutely nothing about character class (including Thief) or skills in Lori's original document on romancing Katrina.
The script does say that, "This is not easy. She is the most suspicious and openly hostile of your attempts to court her. That’s because she is already in love with the Hero, and refuses to admit her weakness.
She does not accept the ring during the course of play. She only admits that they are to be married in endgame and only if Ego becomes king."
Also that, "Katrina will not accept an offer of marriage until late in the game, after Hero has visited her three times on her island."
So it is very difficult to romance Katrina with any character. Many players might think that it is impossible with their character class because it is so difficult. But if the game followed the specification, any character can successful woo her.
This is the response I got from Corey on facebook when I asked about the actual event.
Thank you for replying anyway!

Re: Marrying Katrina.
Yeah, it was bothering me that I was googling and couldn't find any proof or info about it. Everywhere kept saying thief couldn't marry Katrina, but I know for a fact that I did, and I don't remember putting much effort into it. I would've been annoyed if I saved her and couldn't marry her. If it matters, my character probably had all skills including Magic Use and Parry and was imported from QFG4. And I played the Mac version, but it was a hybrid game so that probably doesn't matter.

Re: Marrying Katrina.
It's Erana whom the thief can't marry. I was able to woo Katrina as a thief.
While each class can marry more than one woman, each character still has an ideal mate. Elsa is intended for the fighter, Katrina for the magic user, Nawar for the thief, and Erana for the Paladin. Other than Nawar showing up to your ceremony at the thief's guild, I don't think there's any real perks to matching up the right mates.
