You had me scared there for a moment!Rudy wrote:LOL, typical misunderstanding. With "replayability", i'm refering to being able to play the game a thousand times, each time in a different way. This works with strategy games, simulation games, RPG games and such. Adventure games mostly have liniair (spelling?) gameplay, requiring the exact same actions each time you play it. That is also why the devs built in alternate endings, hidden scenes and alternate ways to play through an adventure.
It doesn't mean that i play each adventure game just once. That would indeed be rather shocking.

Well, basically, because I could never finish the fourth part. I tried and tried, but I could never find all the things that I was supposed to click on in the museums and castles, so I finally just gave up.AndreaDraco wrote:Completely agree with QfG2, but why didn't you finished GK2?Rath Darkblade wrote: 9. Quest for Glory 2 - I just can't go past this utter classic. Anyone who's played it, I'm sure, will agree.

6. Gabriel Knight 2 and 3 - I never managed to beat GK2, which is why it occupies a shared slot.

That's not exactly right, Rath. You mentioned numbers 2, 5, 6, 9 and 10. While numbers 2, 6 and 10 are all from LucasArts (as is number 4), number 5 is indeed a Sierra game. Numbers 9, 11 and 12 are from Interplay, Infogrames and Accolade.Rath Darkblade wrote:Uhmm... MusicallyInspired, your picks for #2, 5, 6, 9 and 10 are LucasArts/LucasGames games, not Sierra games... 1: Space Quest IV - Sierra
2: Sam & Max Hit the Road - LucasArts
3: King's Quest V - Sierra
4: The Secret of Monkey Island - LucasArts
5: Conquests of Camelot - Sierra
6: Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis - LucasArts
8: Space Quest I (AGI) - Sierra
7: King's Quest I (SCI) - Sierra
9: Star Trek 25th Anniversary - Interplay
10: Full Throttle - LucasArts
11: Prisoner of Ice - Infogrames
12: Altered Destiny - Accolade

Or one could have simply said "#5 is Conquests of Camelot which is a Sierra game."DeadPoolX wrote:That's not exactly right, Rath. You mentioned numbers 2, 5, 6, 9 and 10. And I think Prisoner of Ice is from Infogames, not InfogRames. (Just razzing you man...)

Re: Your Top Ten Sierra Adventures
Interesting! I have to ask how the King's Quest I EGA landed on the list? While a historic game for sure - there has to be some reason it landed in your top 10 with so many later games having so much "more" to them?

Re: Your Top Ten Sierra Adventures
Well it was my first King's Quest game that I have ever played and It holds that special place in my heart. and I really didnt like Sierra's SCI remake of KQ1. If they could have made KQ1 like SQ1 and PQ1 with 256 colors then it would have been a different story.Tawmis wrote:Interesting! I have to ask how the King's Quest I EGA landed on the list? Jules to answer your question.
I didnt play Quest for Glory at the time it was new. I didnt play the first QFG/HQ until now I completed the game several months ago.

Re: Your Top Ten Sierra Adventures
I stuck KQ1 on my #5 spot as well for several reasons. It was the first video game I ever played, I remember countless hours playing through it with my aunt, it helped me conquer my fear of open spaces, and it's always the first thing I show people who don't know what adventure games are. I've probably played it more than any other game on my list, although I didn't finish it as often. I'd mostly just turn it on just so I could walk Graham into the moat each time for a quick laugh.
