LSL Magna Cum Laude PC load times?

Hi fellas. I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask, but I thought I'd give it a try.

When MCL was new for PC, I played it with some special nVidia Omega drivers. These drivers made all loading screens load in basically a second instead of 30. Made the game a little less annoying.

As I understand it, the game ain't actually loading jack, it just wants you to look at the screens.

Are there any way to hack/patch/fix so that the loading screens load this fast now? I can't for my life find the drivers I used, and they'd propably not work on my GPU today.

I made it about 15 or 20 minutes into the game (where you begin playing quarters with the one "mouthy" woman)... and I was done. So I wouldn't be much help in this case.

Me and the wife enjoyed it quite a bit. Not a real Larry game, but still entertaining enough to keep me playing.

I'd like to give it another playthrough, but I'd rather find out how to speed up load screens first.

For me I enjoy the more subtle hints of dirty, play on words, etc - rather than the blatant, in your face, vulgarity! But yeah, it does seem like MCL has some pretty horrid load times.

Yea, but there are actually some genius moments in the game. The "Grease" parody being one...

I guess since the game is so unpopular I'll never see the solution to this. I do know that Alt+Tab to desktop and then back to game cuts the cutscenes short, but that's a dirty fix. I'd rather have something real.

I did a few searches and I can't find anything...

Is the forum of the company that originally got the license (Code Masters?) not around anymore? I wonder if someone there might still have an eye on their forums?

It may be around, but it was never a "official" solution, so I don't expect the answer to be there.

I may however be able to find out the answer from the driver provider. I'll give that a go!
