In Winnipeg, some labrador puppies were rescued after being found in a dumpster on Valentine's Day. Gah... I hate people who treat pets like this.
It's good that they were rescued. *goes after the person who left them there, to put him/her in a dumpster* 
Also in Winnipeg, a cat is lucky after crawling under a car's engine for warmth, and getting soaked in motor-oil. The mechanics found the poor thing and took care of him. He is now well-cared-for and will be adopted. I love a happy ending.
